Thought I would revisit my son's 6th birthday party.
His love of Army anything was the inspiration.
We've developed quite a supply of Army "stuff." My brother, being in the Army himself, has handed down lots of gear and clothing so we had some pretty cool, real stuff to use.
We contacted our local Army recruiting office and they gave us tons of free goodies. From water bottles, to posters to t-shirts, we had plenty to use as props and include in favor bags.
This large poster was awesome! We did have to return it, but is was amazing that they let us borrow it.
The invitations and party decorations were fun to design. They're available in my A Boy's Life Etsy shop.
This mobile was hanging over the kid's table. I used both my graphics and Cricut to make it.
The kid's table. We go these "plates" from MeatHeads a hamburger place here in town. They gave them to us! Each boy had a water bottle with their drink in it.
The Supply Tent - included army helmets, dog tags, handgrenades and more for the boys to play with.
The Dessert Table - I included a real army helmet, fake grenades, and some of my son's toy army vehicles.
We also had an Army oil can, ammo can.
Netting and camo fabric were used to cover the table and as a backdrop.
Kids got the fill their favor bags with candy and army men.
Chocolate tank suckers were displayed on a moss-covered piece of styrofoam.
Simple, kraft favor bags for the boys.
Happy Birthday Banner
Shooting Tank Cake
Camo Cakes with cupcake toppers and plastic army men.
Inside the favor bags...tattoos, gummy Army men, sticker from recruiting office,
pin and pen from recruiting office. The boys also filled them with candy from the candy/dessert table.
My little soldier!
What a great party! It was so fun to plan and decorate for.
Thanks for looking!
